چکیده
Abstract Hydroacoustic signals originating from marine volcanic activity at Kadovar Island (Papua New Guinea), recorded by the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT) International Monitoring System (IMS) hydroacoustic (HA) station HA11 Wake (USA), are examined herein. Episodes of high were identified on two occasions, separated a period 1 month. The events studied pertain to an initial eruption series during between January and February 2018. Based local visual observations, volcano began erupt summit then created new vent spot near coast. This also included collapse lava dome. Direction-of-arrival estimates for detected computed using cross-correlation technique, which allowed discrimination numerous other attributed seismic in Pacific Ocean. Kadovar-related could not be regional IMS stations, suggesting submarine origin these events. On hand, seismometer Manus Island, is located HA11. study suggests that explosive bursts followed unusual rumble broadband signal plus may constrain time dome event 00:30 UTC, 00:33 00:46 UTC 09 Given compatibility this observation with tsunami generation reported eyewitnesses nearby island Blup Blup, authors interpret particular as being remote tsunamigenic event. objective was assess potential added value data surveillance geohazards otherwise sparsely monitored areas.

Seismology provides the key technology for monitoring the occurrence of underground nuclear explosions. A new International Monitoring System (IMS) which is being established under the provisions of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty has begun its work in conjunction with a new International Data Centre in Vienna, and this work is likely to continue to develop even though prospects for e...

Machine learning for radioxenon event classification for the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty.
A method of weapon detection for the Comprehensive nuclear-Test-Ban-Treaty (CTBT) consists of monitoring the amount of radioxenon in the atmosphere by measuring and sampling the activity concentration of (131m)Xe, (133)Xe, (133m)Xe, and (135)Xe by radionuclide monitoring. Several explosion samples were simulated based on real data since the measured data of this type is quite rare. These data s...
متن کاملClustering Based One-Class Classification for Compliance Verification of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty
Monitoring the levels of radioxenon isotopes in the atmosphere has been proposed as a means of verifying the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT). This translates into a classification problem, whereby the measured concentrations either belong to an explosion class or a background class. Instances drawn from the explosions class are extremely rare, if not non-existent. Therefore, the re...
